How to edit a map

  1. Login to your account. If you are a new user. click on ‘Register’ and fill the form to sign up as an administrator. On logging in, you will be directed to your dashboard.
  2. The dashboard contains all your annotated building-floor-maps. You can maintain three past versions of each map. You can access the maps by clicking on the appropriate labels.
  3. When you select a version of a map, a window will pop up on the screen, showing a preview of the map, along with links to update or edit the map. For editting a map, you will be redirected to the indoor navigation portal.

  5. You can add a junction by selecting ‘Junction’ from the main menu. A grid will appear on the map. Choose the point on the map you wish to add as a junction. Fill the name and other relevant information about the juntion in the form which appears. You can also add audio and visual landmarks for the junction. Submit the form. Your junction has now been added to the map!
  6. For adding a new path, select ‘Path’. Now, choose 2 junctions between which you want to make the path.
  7. If you wish to stop an ongoing action, select ‘Stop Action’ from the main menu.
  8. To remove a junction, click on ‘Clear’ and select the junction.
  9. To remove all the junctions and information stored, click on ‘Clear All’.
  10. After doing all the changes you want, click on ‘Submit’. A window requiring your password will pop up. Fill your password and submit.

How to navigate

  1. Choose ‘Navigation’ in the main menu. You’ll be re-directed to the map-selection menu.
  2. Choose your building from the available list of buildings in the dropdown menu. Next, choose your floor from the dropdown menu. Click on ‘Navigate’ to go to the navigation portal.
  3. Once you are on the navigation portal, you will have the choice to do the following-
    • Find your way
      1. At the bottom of the map choose your current junction/ junction you want to start from in the ‘Source’ dropdown menu.
      2. Similarly, choose your destination/ junction you want to reach in the ‘Destination’ dropdown menu.
      3. Submit your selection. The path you need to follow will be displayed on the map.
    • Get information
      1. Report an issue
        1. You can file a complaint for any service, by clicking on the ‘Complaint’ button.
        2. A pop-up will appear on the screen, seeking details of the issue.
        3. Select the service you want to report from the dropdown menu.
        4. Choose the type of issue from the options given. In case your complaint is not listed, choose the ‘Other’ option. Now, write your complaint in the area which appears below the ‘Other’ option.
        5. Click on ‘Submit’ to submit your complaint.
